East Coast Community Bank has been acquired by Winter Park-based BankFirst.
The sale closed on Dec. 30, almost one year after the planned deal was announced.
With the acquisition of Ormond Beach-based East Coast, which also has a branch office in Port Orange, BankFirst now has 12 branches throughout much of Central Florida.
The two East Coast branches it acquired are BankFirst’s first in Volusia County.
As of Sept. 30, BankFirst had more than $423 million in deposits and nearly $615 million in assets, according to the most recent data available from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
